As with Bulldog Special, it begins with Bulldog Pup"s infrastructure of Mahogany—both the body and neck back—giant and resonant, mid-focused tone that will ring (seemingly) forever.  It is like having better tone than the record, even before you get the guitar plugged into the amp.

Bulldog Pup only gets the highest grade of Mahogany available, and if that was not good enough (which it should be), we take it to the next level and literally hand–select each and every piece for its appearance and weight.  This is why everyone's Bulldog Pup will sing unimpeded, while a nice soft–cut body radius makes it comfy to hug close up.

One pickup?  Yes, if you opt for this one pickup Bulldog Pup, it can deliver vitally needed tones for many players, as Anderson volume and tone control manipulation alone will relay a myriad of different tonal variations—and a Push/Pull switch sequestered on the tone control will further the cause by dropping the pickup to “vintage level” single coil power—a nice addition. 

This is one straight forward guitar with one huge and important voice.
