Bulldog Locker

Right…very cool but you may be asking,

“Why is the ‘Locker’ considered a separate model within the Bulldog–family?  Isn't it simply a regular phenomenal playing Bulldog with the option of a locking tremolo bridge?

Well, yes it is the same Bulldog phenomenon that now graces our guitar line

…but…

By now you know the meticulous nature that function and form must follow at Anderson Guitarworks. 

A locking tremolo system has many different aspects to its componentry and as such we could not just slap a locking tremolo and locking nut onto a Bulldog without making everything flow as a whole and complete entity—enter Bulldog Locker.

Yes, Bulldog Locker is musically manifested to be that solid ground from which flawless Floyd performances proceed.

Bulldog's traditional tilt-back neck angle remains true to form. Neck-to-body geometry is precisely calculated so Bulldog Locker’s locking bridge can be counter-sunk (like all of our other models) into the body. 

This imparts an extremely comfortable bridge-to-body profile and keeps string height at an agreeable distance off the body for a desirable playing feel.  This is one of the reasons why a Bulldog and Bulldog Locker are so easy to play and comfortable for your picking arm and hand to rest.

But there is more that makes “Locker” distinguished:  The coolest change comes at the neck wood level.

Due to the extended tremolo forces a Locking Tremolo system imparts to the neck itself, Bulldog Locker's neck wood choices are different from that of a regular Bulldog, without giving up pure tone—so nice.

Locker's Neck Wood Choices:

• Sapele Mahogany with a Rosewood Fingerboard: a different species of mahogany retaining the same wonderful mahogany timbre but with a stronger structure.
  
  
• Chocolate Maple with a Rosewood Fingerboard: our now famous Chocolate Maple
  
  
• Rosewood: an all- rosewood neck
