Beginning left is, once again, the formidable Floyd-equipped Transparent Black, Drop Top. Center stage: This sonically impressive Tiger Eye Burst, Hollow Drop wowed and surprised many. With its flamed maple topping a chambered swamp ash back, it presents swamp ash's tonal signature with elegant authority. No longer is swamp ash too shy for some player to enjoy its rich musicality. In fact it won the award for the most impressive use of swamp ash at a NAMM Show. I ask you, is it fair
that a guitar comes to a NAMM Show and steals your heart? Well that is
what happened to me with this Cajun Red, Cobra loaded with our vintage
output HO1- and HO1+ pickups. They sound so sweet! I mean, how could I
help myself? Also included are the mid-sized Cobra Standard neck backshape
and the Fishman Powerbridge, which adds impressive plugged-in acoustic
guitar sounds for blending with the already unparalleled electric tones
or to stand-alone. At least it was Jason at Musicmakers in Austin, Texas
who ended up with this guitar that will haunt my dreams for many nights
to come. |
