Hollow T Classic
Swamp Ash Top on Hollow Alder Back
Ice Blue Metallic

I don’t know if he was just jealous that Icelandic Ice Princesses had held us prisoner or if he felt a kinship and responsibility toward his great, great grandfather, for whom Tom created the origins of this cool color, but he was sure grumpy when he stepped off his boat.

A man calling himself Eric the Red Junior, Junior, Junior, Junior demanded, in a husky Nordic voice, to know why we had dared violate the scanty of Viking tradition by letting a commoner make off with an Anderson, Hollow T Classic adorned in Ice Blue Metallic. “That is the sacred shade of my people!” he announced with emotion.

Sympathetically, we told Mr. Junior, Junior that we understood and knew that his heritage ran deep and strong. But Glen, who adopted this shade and this Hollow T Classic as his own, is not really a commoner for he shares in the Anderson Tradition—a brotherhood, and sisterhood, of those who appreciate and partake in producing unparalleled electric guitar tone and revel in the majesty of effortless playability—now enhanced to even greater heights with the incorporation of Anderson’s exclusive stainless steel fret wire.

“You see Mr. Red,” we went on, “Music is an elevated art form that not only spans multiple generations but language barriers and cultures as well. With the messages it can carry and the places it is able to touch, it is a gift that will be instrumental in bringing the world together as one loving family enjoying the richness of their diversity while learning that we are really all the same.” “The words you have spoken are as the words of Odin,” he boomed out. “I embrace their wisdom. I must hug Glen but first tell me more of this magnificent instrument.”

For a single coil-based guitar player who only wants to take one guitar to the gig but needs to be able to cover all the bases from a clear, clean, beautifully musical tone to a crushing, overdriven single coil sound while possessing the ability to mimic a vintage humbucker, this could quite possibly be the most formidable instrument you will ever hold in your hands. Before it is even plugged into an amplifier, the first strum reveals an unbelievable amount of rich, abundant sound streaming forth and clearly demonstrates the meaning of the term, “Anderson Extend Bandwidth. It is very impressive and is one of the ways you can tell, blindfolded, that you are playing an Anderson. Another way is the amazingly fast, buttery feel of the fretboard under your fingers as you glide from passage to passage. It adds smooth finesse to everything you play as if you have spent years refining your technique.

Eric looked at us in disbelief as though we had gone a bit too far with that last description. It was a look of: Nothing could be that good. We must be stretching it a bit. There is only one way to handle a skeptical Viking, we handed him one and let him play it. It was only a few moments and licks later that he looked up at me with his eyes full of tears. He proclaimed, “Lied to me you have not—not even a little bit. A guitar of such caliber has never before been. Wow! Now I understand why Glen had to have Ice Blue Metallic for his very own. Once again, I must give him a hug.”

I went on to explain how the underlying alder-backed body provides strong lower-mid support while the Swamp ash top adds a touch of ash’s signature high-end musical sparkle.

He nodded, smiled with delight, shook our hands and bounded out the door proclaiming, “Yes, I must hug Glen.”

Tom thought it best if we give Glen a quick call.
