“Ah, it’s human nature…”

We’ve all heard this phrase used when trying to understand people, but what is the natural nature of humans? Do we really know? Have we ever really known, and if we did would it change our reactions and hence our outcomes?

For a real reality check, check this: There are now studies that say that a normal human being, by nature, desires to operate in the stream of joy, harmony, beauty and the flow of abundance that accompanies this state. They are not violent by nature. The appearance of violence is only the result of 3 (some top scientist say 4—you decide) outer conditions that temporarily overwhelm the natural feeling of wellbeing.

1. Personal safety or survival appears affected
2. Family’s safety or survival appears affected
3. Way of life appears drastically affected
4. Guitar tone and ease of playability is not optimal—because everyone knows it should be

The first three points are simply taken care of by reassurance and support that another person is safe in your presence and that you will not interfere with their way of life. The controversial 4th point is even more naturally and easily handled as soon as an Anderson Guitar is placed in hand—fast and fluid playability warmly beckons you to a much more rewarding musical experience—so sweetly satisfying—so harmonically rich and so in tune. If you have played one before then you know that words cannot really describe all the goodness of this experience. If you have not…it is time!

For those who favor a Single/Single/Humbucker pickup layout, this Jack’s Pacific Blue, cloud-like Quilt is loaded with two of the new SF-series pickups and an H2+—tone could not get much better—or could it?

Top Secret: Yes it could—as versatility is covertly increased to monumental proportions with the addition of a new optional switching system.

A closer look at the controls reveals…nothing…pretty sneaky…

But could we journey beyond the visual we would find that the standard Anderson-issue mini-toggle is no longer a two-way switch but a three-way switch, promoting the addition of the VA Booster to a Single/Single/Humbucker pickup layout.

What is a VA Booster? Simply put, it is a color change for the pickup to which it is applied—as if, with the flick of a switch, we rewind your pickup for a little more saturation and oomph while still retaining the same overall character.

Control of this Anderson-exclusive switching system is still baby-simple and fast to use on stage, and off, as primary pickup direction is still under the influence of the familiar 5-Way switch.

Take a quick look at how it all lays out.

Very natural!

Editor’s question: By the way, what is all this talk about, “natural” since this article began…natural this and natural that? I noticed you have used the word natural or nature at least 8 times already—even before I wrote it another 5 times just now. Is something up? Is there some subliminal message being transmitted on an underlying level here? Are you trying to tell us something?

Well, now that you mention it, yes…yes I am. I have had a burning question to ask ever since the first words appeared on this page. With your permission I will ask it now:

Do you think it is natural, or not, to see a Drop Top (hollow or solid) with a Natural Mahogany back? Because, you are now seeing the natural beauty of nature reflected in the un-colored back of this Natural finished, Mahogany-backed, Jack’s Blue Burst, Hollow Drop Top. A rather rare look for Anderson, but beautiful never the less.

Anderson Guitarworks welcomes Morgan Music into the family of exclusive Anderson Guitar dealers and Morgan Music welcomes this new Hollow Drop Top to their store and they welcome you to come and experience it…and we certainly welcome all this welcoming. All of the staff at Morgan is extremely caring and helpful—just what we look for in a dealer of Anderson Guitars—so the whole Anderson experience is a great one.
