We know what you are saying, “Weren’t we in the middle of a Guitar of the Week series on Specials”….and we are. Upon speaking with some of you on the phone this week (which I always enjoy) I can tell that more is needed in clarifying what actually comprises a Special, so stay tuned.

But this week let’s take a short respite. Sit back, relax and have of sip of your favorite internet-viewing beverage. We need to talk of another imperative matter that concerns many guitar players—even the most highly skilled players can be affected. And it is really not their fault. It just happens.

What are we talking about?

Well defenestration of course—guitar defenestration. Everyone knows about it but nobody—until now—has ever had the courage to speak of such matters. It can be very unsettling—especially if the guitar is still plugged into the amp.

The reason that no one is talking is that there is only one cure. But do not worry—not even slightly—for it is all good. The remedy is tremendous and enriching. As with many situations that lead to a cure, it will lift you beyond where you have ever been in your life before. Instantaneous healing is a very real gift that happens to most of us without our awareness. When we realize it has happened we call it a miracle. It is as it should be.

All knowledge is already known and the only task we really have is re-remembering it. So you already know the cure for guitar defenestration.

Say it with us now: “Anderson Guitars!”

Anderson Guitars of course. It seems that Anderson Guitars are immune to defenestration because of their perfect playability and the overall rush of musical magnificence the player fundamentally feels when embracing and playing one.

The Classic…let us take this amazing guitar as an example. Shown in a brand new shade, Sparkle Charcoal—note the difference from Sparkle Silver—its buttery smooth and inviting playability immediately makes it impervious to defenestration of any kind as Anderson’s Exclusive Stainless Steel frets invite seamless, refined vibrato to be a pleasing part of your playing style.

What a relief.

And that is not the only benefit of fingers gliding along this Indian Rosewood backdrop, as Anderson Stainless Steel frets are more able to impart rich, woody tones from wood to strings and back again. These are the first traditional-style Stainless Steel frets to appear on any guitar and their contribution in every way clearly derails any predisposition to defenestration tendencies.

But it doesn’t stop there. Many players, especially humbucker-based ones, experience a syndrome know as S-Size Single Coil Frustration, which is the inability to make their traditional single coils sound full enough to reproduce some of those amazing single coil tones they have heard on record. And you know what that can lead to…right…guitar defenestration.

Not with an Anderson in your hands. You are safe.

It is a full set of M-Series pickups to the rescue this time. They spring to life with Gigantic Single Coil tones that you never have to wrestle—a rich and glowing tone without treading into humbucker territory. They flow with a wide single coil band width and a more muscular middle—so single coil anemia is a thing of the past. And no hum.

We know what you were saying, “Weren’t we in the middle of a Guitar of the Week series on Specials?” And we are because at Anderson Guitarworks everything is very special indeed.
