Hollow T Classic
Alder Top on Hollow Alder Back
Shell Pink

Are you tough enough to gaze upon this Shell Pink, Hollow T Classic with admiration? We’ve been crazy to show it to you for the last several weeks now. You see, it’s the beautiful and yet rare, traditional counterpart to The Classic of Guitar of the Week fame from November 3, 2002. And if you explore that Classic in depth you will learn of a Shell Pink lineage that dates back to 1956.

It was Jimmy from New York Guitar & Bass Boutique that envisioned and ordered this one for his exceptional store, but with a touch of class he tastefully deviated from standard accoutrements with the addition of a matching headstock and flowingly comfortable body contours.

Glistening against the backdrop of its inherently reddish-brown Madagascar Rosewood Fingerboard, Jimmy chose our Small frets to further align this instrument with its ancestry and gain the player a close-to-board feel on the action. Since Small frets do not rise above the fingerboard with the same grandeur as our Mediums and Heavies, the strings naturally remain closer to the plane of the fingerboard wood—even though the distance from the fret to the string (action height) is identical on every guitar we build. One quick trip around the fretboard explicitly demonstrates why Anderson’s exclusive Stainless Steel fret-wire makes this the most joyful experience you’ll ever have with Small frets!

Crushingly huge single coil tones are no problem as the intrinsic nature of the all-Alder, hollow-chambered body combines with the TV1 and TV3 Anderson vintage single coil pickups and exclusive Anderson Extended-Bandwidth to deliver an authoritative punch from stage that will not be displaced by the other instruments in the band.

Do not be fooled by the elegance of its distinctively vintage good looks, this guitar is not for the faint of heart. If you are tough enough, it is time for you and Shell Pink to rule the world of Rock and Roll!
