Ice Blue

Tom Anderson Guitarworks is on vacation this week, and at Tom’s gracious invitation, we are all on our way to the Arctic Circle—where it is cooler but light 24 hours a day this time of the year.

He would like us to experience, firsthand, the region that inspired the true origin of this time-honored hue, Ice Blue. Attending the Greenland Summer Concert Series will be an added bonus as it has been rumored that Sean Michaels will be there. With unparalleled wisdom, he is the musician who snatched up this Ice Blue, Hollow T Classic from Eddie at Indoor Storm.

He clearly understands the coolness of this Ice Blue’s vintage roots and how equipping with vintage-based TV1 and TV3 pickups can yield the ultimate vintage axe. But Sean wanted to step out and up from tradition with the addition of M-Series pickups. An M1 in the neck position and a TM2 at the bridge keeps things clear but roaring with a little more bulk. Also, the hum-canceling capabilities of the Ms come in very handy when the Northern Lights kick it up in the night sky.
