Hollow T Classic
Alder Top on Hollow Alder Back
Champagne Sparkle

At long last corks are popping all over Eddies Guitars in St Louis, Missouri, celebrating the long anticipated arrival of this superlatively luminescent Champagne Sparkle, Anderson. It’s quite understandable why the illustrious staff of this impressively outfitted store is completely elated to welcome this very first-of-its-kind Hollow T Classic.

But people all over town have been talking—saying things like how dashing Conrad looks wearing a pointy party hat and hiking boots and how naturally musical Nathan is when blowing his heart out on a rolling-up party noise maker thing. They love watching Steve perform his death-defying high-wire act while balancing two Drop Tops over a large vat of chilled chocolate pudding. And rumor has it that they may even have a real elephant, wearing a giant Anderson T-shirt, that Eddie himself rides while making balloon guitars for the kids. And is there really an honorary Anderson champagne fountain with a toast being given every hour on the hour? What is going on? Have they gone too far with their Anderson celebratory festivities?

NOT EVEN!!

After all, this is a Tom Anderson guitar! Strap it on and plug in. Wrap your hand around its 1 11/16ths, 62 Roundback, solid-maple neck. Start slow and easy and let yourself be taken in by its superior neck geometry while executing sultry, liquid vibrato over its perfectly dressed Stainless Steel frets. Speed becomes an easy, more natural extension of your playing. Now lay your ears on this Hollow T Classic’s commanding, all-alder, giant single coil tones and you’ll know that even elephants, balloons and chilled pudding are not enough to proclaim this instrument’s full musical dominance.

As if the traditional distinction of this classy Champagne Sparkle finish alone wasn’t enough to rule from stage unchallenged, it’s the TV3 bridge pickup, plugged into your favorite amp and adjusted for ultimate Anderson tonal bonding, that will impress all who stand before you with clear, distinct single coil tones that can trade punches with vintage humbucks. And because the TV3 is sonically balanced to its TV1 soul mate at the neck position, all pickup combinations are available with the flick of the 3-Way— no re-EQing required.

Another secret contributing to the undeniable sonic magnitude of this instrument is its sense of heightened sympathetic vibration. Delivered courtesy of the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, this guitar is able to be tuned more precisely, leading to greater harmonization between intervals, resulting in a pleasing increase in fullness as frequencies more blissfully coexist.

It was Keith, of Gelb Music, who first pushed the artistic paint envelope at Anderson by requesting that his Cobra be finished in Champagne Sparkle. Always alert to the best of everything, Nathan, Steve and Conrad of Eddies Guitars imagined how thoroughly cool a Hollow T Classic would be arrayed in such a distinguished color and outfitted in a traditional way—with a non-contoured body and Anderson vintage-style pickups.

After their elephant rides, several attendees of the, still ongoing, Eddies Anderson Festival remarked how lightweight and nimble this guitar was to hold and manage and how it could easily be played all night without fatigue. At first they mistook it for one of Eddie’s, now famous, balloon guitars but the shimmering Champagne Sparkle finish and rumbling, unplugged resonance gave it away. Nathan clearly explained the differences and benefits of Anderson’s hollow-chambered technology but one strum from Conrad and the whole story was told.
