See it all: Looking for a Previous NAMM 13 Guitar?
(A quick click on the Anderson/NAMM banner above takes you back to The Classic finished in Sparkle Orange from last week.)
To the Show, we go!
We call it Atlantic Storm—a color that has been on the Anderson painting pallet for years. We now think of it as a gentle storm, bringing nourishing rains with swirling clouds of this color.
Nice visual—as it should be.
With all transparent colors applied over maple wood, each and every guitar varies slightly in its presentation of hue, as it is influenced and granted its very character by the underlying wood that presents its unique grain patterns through the color itself.
This was Matt’s and Jay’s selection for NAMM 13.
They, along with Anderson Guitarworks, wanted to show you the most accurate rendering of Atlantic Storm atop a Drop Top to date. Atlantic Storm—a blue/black color with dramatic grain enhancement.
(Editor’s Note: viewing on a newer monitor will yield the most accurate color results.)
What? Who are Matt and Jay?
Why, none other than Matt and Jay of Matt’s Music Center.
Never missing a trick, Matt outfitted this super fast playing Atlantic Storm, Drop Top with a Sunken Floyd Rose tremolo for the ultimate in trem stability, gymnastics and flowing function—always in tune—and always infused with Anderson’s superb tonal character.
Floyd Players of the World Unite, (really not kidding about this) your ultimate guitar of all time is here...an Anderson…at Matt's Music Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Roy’s note: Boston! I cannot feel that it is mere coincidence that this guitar was scheduled to come up for Guitar of the Week at this time. Recently the world was stunned and horrified by the events occurring at the Boston Marathon. Of course, our hearts go out to all those affected and we hold them in our thoughts with love and blessings. If you are discouraged, know this: For every act of hate there are 10 million acts of love and kindness. This can be witnessed by all the love and support that pours out in reaction to any single initial act of terror or disaster. The real fact is: hate cannot be defeated by more hate. But it fails and falls weak in the face of love. The more love we offer each other on a daily basis the more and more ineffective hate becomes until it looses all its power. Think of all the tyrants who have risen to power for a time, where are their regimes now? In the end they always fall—always. So how do make it to a better world? One way: Share the love and offer kindness; that is all it takes to shift everything; one step at a time until the while world is in love.
